In a statement to CNN, Royal Caribbean emphasized that the safety and security of their guests, crew, and the communities they visit are their utmost priority. The company's Global Security and Intel Team is closely monitoring the situation in Haiti, and as a precautionary measure, they are temporarily adjusting sailings that include a stop at Labadee.

The cruise line has its own port in Labadee, located approximately 130 miles (210 kilometers) from Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince.
The country is currently facing a political crisis, while the capital is dealing with gang violence since early March.
Royal Caribbean's port in northern Haiti is situated on a peninsula. This port is exclusively accessible to guests and employees of Royal Caribbean Group. It is a secure site with private security and offers a day-use resort with five beaches, a zip line, and other recreational activities.
The cruise line has been operating in Labadee since the 1980s.
