Courteney Cox and her famous character Monica Geller from Friends both struggle with hair problems.
Cox, who is 59 years old, shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday, May 22, showing how her hair reacts to the hot weather in Florida. She mentioned her love for Miami as she walked out onto the balcony of a beachfront apartment. At first, her hair looked neat, but as soon as she stepped outside, her dark hair quickly transformed into big, frizzy curls.
"It's the humidity!" Cox whispered, remembering Monica's iconic line from the episode "The One in Barbados Part 1" in season 9 of Friends.
In the episode that first aired in 2003, Monica's hair kept getting larger as the temperature rose on the tropical island. Her friends couldn't help but tease her about her expanding hairstyle, leading Monica to exclaim, "It's the humidity!"

Cox has once again shown her similarity to Monica. During a home tour posted on Instagram in August 2023, Cox accidentally revealed a secret closet, reminiscent of when Monica did the same in season 8 of the popular sitcom.
"Oh, what's in here?" Max Goodrich, the creative team director at Cox, exclaimed as he panned the camera to reveal a room filled with old furniture, bedding, boxes, clothes, and more. "Oh my goodness, there's so much stuff!" Cox exclaimed, stepping in front of the door to try to hide the clutter. Goodrich inquired, "What's in there? It looks quite messy."
Cox pleaded with Goodrich to stop recording, saying, "This isn't funny! Please, don't film this. Can you delete the footage now, please?"
In a 2002 episode of Friends, Monica's husband, Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), discovered a locked door while searching for a spot to hide an unattractive punch bowl from his parents. Despite Monica's reluctance to reveal the contents behind the door, Chandler broke it down and uncovered a huge mess. Feeling embarrassed, Monica made Chandler swear to keep it a secret from their friends. In a humorous moment, she jokingly warned him not to disrupt her carefully organized chaos.
