In 2019, after Braylen was born, Brantley spoke to People magazine and mentioned, "It's a true blessing for us to have Braylen join our family. Both momma and baby girl are doing great."

The musician, in his Fire & Brimstone album, incorporated the essence of fatherhood into a song called "Man That Hung the Moon."

He shared with the outlet that when he initially wrote the song, his wife was pregnant with Barrett. Although they hadn't even informed their family yet due to the early stage of the pregnancy, he couldn't contain his excitement. While on the bus heading home, he penned 'Man That Hung the Moon', reflecting on the impending changes in his life. With the recent addition of Braylen to their family, the song has taken on even more significance.

In July 2015, Brantley confirmed that he had married Amber at his home in Georgia. Earlier that year, he openly talked about their relationship with E! News.

"I first met her 10 years ago at church. We had an on-and-off relationship for five years, mostly being together," Brantley shared. "Losing her was really tough in the beginning. She was the one that got away for five years. They say if you love something, you have to let it go, and if it's meant to be, it will come back. It sounds cliché, but it actually happened to me. So now, I believe in it."
