Attack on Titan has unveiled stunning new artwork to promote the highly anticipated conclusion of the anime. The striking visual, shared on AoT's official X page (previously known as Twitter), showcases Eren Jaeger standing alongside Ymir Fritz, the original wielder of Titan powers. Ymir Fritz, also referred to as "The Founding Titan," is the progenitor of the nine core Titans. Kenta Ueda, a member of the production team for Attack on Titan: The Final Season, created this illustration to celebrate the 10-day countdown leading up to the anime's grand finale, set to premiere at midnight on November 4th (JST).
The Attack on Titan anime, based on Hajime Isayama's popular manga, is nearing its highly anticipated climax after almost a decade since its debut in 2013. The series follows humanity's struggle to survive against Titans, monstrous creatures that dominate the world. In the first part, the devastating aftermath of The Rumbling, a cataclysmic event triggered by the protagonist Eren Jaeger, was depicted as an attempt to end the endless cycle of wars. Now, Armin, Mikasa, and other members of the Survey Corps must confront Eren, who has transformed into a terrifying new entity, to finally bring the conflict to an end. A trailer for the final season of Attack on Titan, released in September, offered a glimpse of the thrilling ultimate confrontation.
To commemorate the momentous conclusion of the anime, animation studio MAPPA will be hosting a global after-party event immediately after the premiere. This live-streamed celebration will feature appearances by key staff members, including Wit Studio director Tetsuro Araki, MAPPA studio director Yuichiro Hayashi, and music composer Hiroyuki Sawano, among others. Additionally, interviews with voice actors from Attack on Titan, such as Yuki Kaji (Eren Jaeger), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackermann), and Marina Inoue (Armin Arlert), will be conducted, allowing them to share their experiences while working on this iconic dark shonen series.
Attack on Titan fans will undoubtedly feel a sense of loss with the anime's conclusion, but creator Hajime Isayama has exciting news for them. He will be releasing new manga content for the series in the form of a made-to-order art book called Attack on Titan: Art Book FLY. This art book will feature Isayama's stunning full-color illustrations for AoT, as well as an exclusive bonus chapter of Attack on Titan created specifically for the book. To secure a copy, fans must reserve it in advance before the official release on Nov. 30 in Japan.
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Final Chapters Part 2, which will premiere on Nov. 4. The entire series, including The Final Chapters - Part 1, is currently available for streaming on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
