Renowned American author Cormac McCarthy, famous for his critically acclaimed novels No Country For Old Men and The Road, has sadly passed away at the age of 89. Although McCarthy authored a total of twelve novels, he achieved immense recognition for his post-apocalyptic masterpiece The Road, which was adapted into a movie of the same name by director John Hillcoat. The author also penned No Country for Old Men, which was adapted into a film by the Coen brothers, winning the prestigious Best Picture award.
As per Variety's report, Cormac McCarthy peacefully passed away at his residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico, due to natural reasons, confirmed by his son John McCarthy. The news of his demise has saddened many, including renowned author Stephen King, who expressed his grief on social media.
