Ange Postecoglou suggests that he would not have permitted Liverpool to score following the incorrect disallowance of Luis Diaz's goal against Tottenham. Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, mentioned the potential of a rematch after Diaz's goal was wrongly ruled offside due to a confusion in the VAR room. Ultimately, Tottenham emerged victorious with a 2-1 win in stoppage-time.
When asked whether he would have allowed Liverpool to score if given the opportunity by the officials, Postecoglou responded by saying, "I don't believe that would be appropriate.
"As managers, we have significant responsibilities at our football clubs, but we are not the ultimate decision-makers. I wouldn't make a judgment that could potentially jeopardize a club's position based solely on my personal beliefs.
At that moment, if someone had claimed to possess the ability to unravel all that transpired in the span of thirty seconds, I still would not have been able to reach a decision.
It would have been a different scenario if the situation was straightforward. This was a significant error resulting from a breakdown in communication, yet it was not something that could be easily clarified. If it had been easily explicable, I would have expected a greater outcry than what actually ensued.
