Barack Obama reveals his top movies of 2023
Obama recently took to X/Twitter to reveal his top movie picks. His list includes Rustin, Leave the World Behind, and American Symphony, all of which were produced by his company, Higher Ground. In his defense, he admits to being "biased" towards these films.
His other notable films include The Holdovers, Blackberry, Oppenheimer, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Monster, Past Lives, Air, Polite Society, and A Thousand and One.

Barbie’s absence from Obama’s movie list this year has raised some eyebrows. One user commented, “Obama not liking Barbie is so strange to me.” Another user tweeted, “I usually make jokes about how Obama’s movie and song lists seem too perfect, but this year’s movie list doesn’t even mention Barbie.”
"Dear Obama, it's clear that the list of films you've chosen truly reflects your personal taste. However, the inclusion of Air and exclusion of Barbie has made some question your film taste. I mean, who actually liked Air? It was a joke as soon as it was released," a third person remarked.
Some have also pointed out that Killers of the Flower Moon didn't make the cut. "Choosing the Ben Affleck shoe movie over Killers of the Flower Moon is quite surprising," one person commented. "Obama should be impeached for not including Killers of the Flower Moon," another humorously added.
He also included movies from his production company, despite the disclaimer.
