Contrary to Reports, Lisa Kudrow Was Never Adopting Matthew Perry's Fictitious Dog

Widespread reports about Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry’s dog are not accurate, We can confirm.
According to a source, it has been confirmed that Perry did not own a pet, despite reports suggesting that Kudrow was looking after the dog after Perry's death. Before their breakup, Perry had shared pictures of a charming mixed breed dog named Alfred, which he and his ex-fiancée Molly Hurwitz owned together.
In a September Instagram post, Perry described Alfred as a three-year-old who can be quite annoying at times but is also incredibly affectionate. Perry shared that the dog came into their lives during a period of depression and played a crucial role in helping Perry overcome it. Perry also mentioned that Alfred is exceptionally cute. Perry ended the post by expressing gratitude towards Alfred and advocating for adopting pets rather than buying them.
Perry recently posted a picture of Alfred on Instagram, months before his separation from Hurwitz. The post, made in February 2021, emphasized Alfred's dominance in the Perry household and invited followers to follow his account for updates on beloved pet brands and safety tips for dogs.
Sadly, it has been confirmed that Perry passed away at the age of 54, from what appears to be a drowning incident. On October 28, authorities responded to a call at a Los Angeles residence where Perry was found unconscious in a hot tub. Investigations into his death are still ongoing.

Following his sudden passing, Hurwitz wrote a heartbreaking tribute for Perry.
"He would be thrilled to know that the world is buzzing about his immense talent. And truly, he was exceptionally gifted," she expressed on Instagram on Monday, October 30. "As the Friends reunion drew near, we watched the show together once again. 'Wow, I was truly amazing!!! ... Catch the cleverness?' We replayed and analyzed scenes."
Hurwitz reminisced about her journey with Perry, including the highs and lows throughout the years. "Our shared appreciation and understanding of humor was a bond that united us. Witnessing his rediscovery of his brilliance was like witnessing magic. However, I also knew him in a completely different way. Though my love for him was beyond comprehension, he was complex and inflicted a pain I had never experienced before."
She expressed, "Matthew Langford Perry has undeniably had the most significant influence on me during my adult years. I am immensely grateful for everything I have gained from our relationship and the profound lessons I have learned."
In addition, Perry's fellow cast members from Friends, including Kudrow, shared a statement paying tribute to his enduring legacy.
"We are devastated by the tragic loss of Matthew. Our bond goes beyond being just colleagues; we are a close-knit family," the statement expressed. "There are no words to fully capture the magnitude of this loss. Right now, we need time to process and mourn," shared Kudrow, Aniston, Cox, LeBlanc, and Schwimmer. They added, "We will share more in due time, when we are ready. Our hearts and love are with Matthew's family, friends, and all those who cherished him globally."
