Clare Crawley, the 42-year-old star of season 16 of The Bachelorette, revealed on Instagram on July 12 that she and her husband, Ryan Dawkins, are expecting their first child. Crawley expressed her excitement, sharing that their baby, named Baby Dawkins, will be born in January 2024 through the help of a surrogate. She also expressed gratitude to her followers, stating that it has been challenging to keep this joyous news a secret after sharing her life with them for the past decade.
The reality star revealed that she and Dawkins had kept their news a secret as they went through the process of IVF. However, they have now decided to share their journey with their fans. Crawley expressed her gratitude to @eggwhisperer for making miracles happen. Crawley first appeared on The Bachelor in 2014 and also appeared on Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games.

The hairstylist was crowned the Bachelorette in March 2020, but the onset of the coronavirus pandemic led to a delay in filming. Eventually, the show commenced production, but Crawley departed after only four episodes, having picked Dale Moss as her future husband. (Tayshia Adams took over as the Bachelorette for the remainder of the season.)
Despite initially getting engaged, Crawley and the 34-year-old Moss ended their relationship merely two months after it was announced on the show. However, they briefly reconciled before ultimately breaking up for good in September 2021.
Crawley later disclosed that she and Dawkins connected for the first time in the same month when she and Moss called off their engagement. "This picture was taken exactly one year ago," she wrote on Instagram in September 2022. "Ryan asked me out for dinner, but I wasn't hungry due to stress and depression. However, I agreed to have tea and go for a walk. Surprisingly, I ended up laughing and smiling more than I had in the entire previous year."
The couple became engaged in October 2022. "Since I met her, everything in my life has changed. She is the love of my life, and I wish that everyone could see the incredible person Clare is," Dawkins exclusively told We at the time. "She is a phenomenal woman, incredibly strong, and a true beacon of light. I love our life together, and I am extremely excited for our future."
The couple got married less than six months later and exchanged vows in February at a ceremony in Sacramento. Crawley expressed her joy on Instagram the day after the wedding, declaring it as the happiest day of her life.
