Nowadays, we find ourselves subscribing to numerous services such as music, cloud storage, Netflix, food delivery, and others. Nevertheless, I am here to provide reasons why I personally subscribe to YouTube Premium and why you should consider it as well.

To provide some context, I have been a loyal follower of Google's music services for a number of years, starting from the inception of the initial Google Play Music subscription service. While I do watch a considerable amount of videos on YouTube, my primary activity involves streaming music. I have consistently subscribed to Google/YouTube Music for as far back as my memory serves me.

In the past year, YouTube Music's price has increased, as is the case with many things nowadays. During the summer, the monthly fee rose from $9.99 to $10.99, which also affected existing YouTube Red plans. Correspondingly, Google raised Premium to $13.99 with the same increment.

Initially, I was frustrated by the price hike. However, I eventually realized its inevitability and decided to embrace Premium. To be honest, I have no regrets. Sure, we all aim to stick to a budget, but if you're already paying $11 per month for Music, regardless of whether it's with Google or elsewhere, what's an extra $2? By upgrading, you'll enjoy all your favorite music and ad-free videos on YouTube. It's a win-win situation, or at least it has been for me. In hindsight, I truly wish I had subscribed to YouTube Premium years ago. The amount of time I've saved by not waiting to skip ads is remarkable.

It's Even Better for Families

YouTube Premium truly excels when it comes to catering to families, surpassing nearly every other service in this regard. If you have children or siblings who are avid YouTube viewers, Premium is the ideal choice.
