Chicago Med's April Star Drops Her One Surprising Demand To Make a Sensational Comeback

Chicago Med star Yaya DaCosta has stated her one condition for returning to the show. The series, created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, first aired on NBC in 2015 and revolves around the lives and relationships of the emergency department staff at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. DaCosta portrays April Sexton, a dedicated caregiver who left Chicago Med after season 6 to pursue a nurse practitioner program.

But over time, everyone grew accustomed to seeing her in the role of a nurse. Her presence in the hospital, the way she engaged with patients, the valuable insights she brought to cases, and the trust the doctors had in her to anticipate their needs without being prompted - all of these factors greatly contributed to her credibility and the expectation that she would become a doctor. Therefore, if April Sexton ever returns to the screen, whether in this dimension or any other, it would have to be as a doctor."

Could April Return To Chicago Med?

April has played a significant role in Chicago Med, and her relationship with Ethan Choi (played by Brian Tee) has been a crucial storyline as the show has progressed.
