Charlize Theron went to Dior’s pre-fall show at the Brooklyn Museum on Monday, April 15, accompanied by her 7-year-old daughter, August.
The 48-year-old star was stylish in a black long sleeve shirt, tucked into a camel skirt with black letters on the front. She completed her look with dark sunglasses and layers of gold jewelry. Theron kept her hair sleek in a low bun to keep it away from her face.
August looked stylish in a blue and white letterman jacket with the letter “C” on the front, paired with a black crossbody Dior purse. The mother-daughter duo happily held hands as they made their way to their front row seats.
Theron has previously taken her children to Dior shows. She brought her older daughter Jackson, 11, to Dior’s spring/summer 2024 show at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris in September 2023.

Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015. Over the years, she has spoken openly about her experience with adoption as a single mother.
"When you adopt, it's important to do so wholeheartedly," she mentioned in an interview with Elle back in July 2016. "I immersed myself in the adoption process because I truly believed that I could be a loving and attentive mother to my children. While no one plans to be a single parent, I've come to realize that not everything in life can be controlled. I've adjusted to the circumstances because I am practical."
As Theron's eldest daughter, Jackson, grows older, Theron has recently noticed a natural shift in their mother-daughter relationship.
Theron shared her emotions about her oldest child starting middle school during a Q&A session at the Breitling Navitimer cocktail party in New York City in September 2023. She expressed how sad she felt, saying, "I was like, 'Where's my baby?'"
She recounted the moment when her child asked her not to look or hug her, saying, "And she was like, 'Mom, please don't look, mom, don't hug me.'" Theron couldn't help but feel the impact of her child growing up, as she shared, "I was like, 'Can I hug you?' She's like, 'No, no.' Oh my god. It's like a whole different game."
