Screen Rant presents an exclusive first look at Fool's Paradise, a satirical comedy that takes a scathing look at the film industry. Always Sunny In Philadelphia star and co-creator Charlie Day makes his directorial debut while also writing and starring in the movie. The film features one of the final performances from Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) and an ensemble cast that includes Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians), Kate Beckinsale (Underworld), Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Common (John Wick: Chapter 2), Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), and John Malkovich. Fool's Paradise will be released On Demand and on Digital on June 2 via Lionsgate.
Fool's Paradise follows a method actor (Day) who refuses to leave his trailer, causing his unfortunate publicist (Jeong) to find the actor's double, a mentally ill man (also Day) who was just released from the hospital. Assisted by a powerful producer, the publicist helps his new client to become a huge star with the unfortunate moniker of Latte Pronto. However, fame and fortune prove to be not all they're cracked up to be, and both the method actor and Latte must fight to find what truly matters most. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, from beautiful leading ladies to power-hungry media moguls, unpredictable directors, and homeless action heroes.

In an exclusive clip presented by Screen Rant, Latte Pronto's co-star Chad Lux (Brody) approaches him at Craft Services, praising what he believes to be Latte's own method acting. Lux reveals that he now only goes half method, as he claims that going full method has led to some unfortunate situations in the past. Throughout their conversation, Production Assistants repeatedly offer to bring them chairs, until Lux finally loses his temper.
The trailer for Fool's Paradise offers a satirical and comedic take on the film industry. Latte Pronto's journey begins after he is abandoned on the streets of Los Angeles due to the state's inability to cover his medical expenses. However, a chance encounter sets him on a path to stardom, as he is cast in a major motion picture and gains a team of agents, publicists, and lawyers. He even appears on a late-night talk show and marries his gorgeous co-star. Yet, his newfound success may be threatened by the determined Ed Cote (Malkovich), who is determined to uncover the truth behind "Latte's" identity.
June is set to be an exciting month for Day, with the release of his upcoming project Fool's Paradise and the return of his hit series Always Sunny in Philadelphia on June 7th. Fans of the series will be delighted to know that the show is still going strong, with Season 16 featuring a cameo from Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. In the trailer, Day's character Charlie Kelly drives the duo around and even makes a reference to Cranston's iconic role as "Mr. Malcolm". Don't forget to mark your calendars for June 2, when Fool's Paradise will be available on On Demand and Digital platforms.
