Charli D’Amelio, an A-list movie star and Dunkin’ Donuts spokesperson, failed to recognize Ben Affleck when presented with a photograph of him during her comical lie detector test interview with Vanity Fair, conducted by her sister, Dixie D’Amelio.
Dixie, aged 22, inquired Charli, aged 19, whether she genuinely enjoys Dunkin' as much as she claims. Charli responded affirmatively, expressing her unapologetic enthusiasm for promoting the brand.
In the year 2020, Dunkin' Donuts introduced "The Charli" as a signature drink on their menu, consisting of cold brew combined with whole milk and caramel swirl. This beverage quickly gained immense popularity on TikTok and became viral. In 2021, Charli once again collaborated with the coffee chain to create a new version of her signature drink called "The Charli Cold Foam," which included a delightful cold foam topping.
Dixie proceeded to share a picture with Charli of rapper Ice Spice, who had recently collaborated with Dunkin' on a beverage. Inquiring, she asked Charli, "Do you believe your own collaboration is superior?" Charli chuckled and simply responded, "Yes."
Switching gears, Dixie presented Charli with a photo of Affleck, a renowned enthusiast of the Dunkin' brand, appearing in two of their commercials. One ad, aired during the 2023 Super Bowl, even starred his wife, Jennifer Lopez. Dixie inquired, "Do you think you prefer Dunkin' over this individual?"
Charli quickly replied affirmatively, but faltered when questioned about the identity of the individual in the picture.
"Wait, you genuinely have no idea?" Dixie inquired. "I've seen the advertisement. I struggle with remembering names," Charli confessed.
Upon learning from Dixie that he is married to Lopez, Charli had a sudden realization. "Oh my God, I feel incredibly foolish," she exclaimed.
Furthermore, Dixie also mentioned Charli's boyfriend, Landon Barker, who happens to be the son of Travis Barker, the drummer of Blink-182. When questioned about her familiarity with his father's band prior to their relationship, Charli confessed, "Honestly, I wasn't really aware. I had perhaps heard his name before, but I wasn't familiar with the band."
Landon, 19, shared on “The Zach Sang Show” podcast that after their first date, he brought Charli to meet his father. He received a direct message from Charli and decided to go hang out with her. The following day, he invited her to have lunch with his dad and sisters. Landon stayed over at Charli's house and spontaneously asked her to join him for dinner. Looking back, he finds this whole situation quite amusing.
The couple was first seen together in June 2022 and they made their relationship public on Instagram the next month.
Landon elaborated, saying, "I knew I wanted her. I was attracted to her and I took the plunge. And we've been together ever since."
