Numerous celebrities have opted not to drink and have openly discussed their reasons for this choice. For instance, actress Blake Lively, known for her roles as a party-loving character on Gossip Girl and a martini-drinking mom in A Simple Favor, has stated that she simply has no interest in alcohol, despite her on-screen portrayals.

In September 2012, she told Allure that she doesn't drink and has "never" done drugs. Another person who mostly doesn't drink is Kim Kardashian, as her younger sister Khloé Kardashian explained in January 2016, "Kimberly does not drink alcohol at all. Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it."

Even though the Skims founder occasionally posts pictures of cocktails, her relationship with alcohol remains very limited. Insiders have revealed that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star does not enjoy the taste of alcohol, but she will sometimes indulge in a cocktail to celebrate a friend or family member's birthday.

Several celebrities have opted to abstain from drinking and have openly discussed their reasons for doing so. One such example is Blake Lively, who, despite her portrayal of characters who indulge in alcohol, has chosen not to imbibe for personal reasons.

In September 2012, she told Allure that she doesn't drink and has "never" done drugs. Another person who mostly doesn't drink is Kim Kardashian. According to her younger sister Khloé Kardashian in January 2016, "Kimberly does not drink alcohol at all. Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it."

The Skims founder occasionally shares snapshots of cocktails, but has a limited relationship with alcohol. Insiders say the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star doesn't enjoy the taste of booze, but will have a cocktail at special occasions. Jennifer Lopez made the decision to avoid alcohol for beauty reasons, stating in 2003 that she believes it ruins the skin.

"I have never been drunk in my entire life. It's crazy," the iCarly alum revealed during an episode of the "Good Guys" podcast in December 2023. "I have never even been buzzed. I've had a few sips of things before, but only two sips."

Cosgrove added, "I think it all started because I was always the designated driver when I went out with my friends, and I kind of liked taking on that role and got used to it, so I just stuck with it forever. But yeah, I am open to the idea of drinking. I still plan to try it at some point... even though I am 30. I probably should have done it on my birthday, my 30th."

In January 2020, the former All My Children actress shared with the audience of Live With Kelly and Ryan that she had stopped drinking when cohost Ryan Seacrest joined the morning talk show in May 2017. This decision came after a challenging period for the star, who was taken by surprise when previous cohost Michael Strahan left the program about a year earlier. She expressed her happiness with her alcohol-free lifestyle, calling it "amazing."

Khloé Kardashian, sister of KKW Beauty founder, confirmed to ELLE in January 2016 that her sibling doesn’t drink alcohol at all. “Kimberly does not drink alcohol whatsoever,” she stated. “Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it.” However, these days, the Selfish author has loosened up a bit and will drink occasionally.

Upon reaching 21 in September 2017, the Euphoria star chose to celebrate without alcohol. She stated on her app, "Just because I'm now the legal drinking age, doesn't mean I'm going to start throwing 'em back. I don't plan to start drinking," emphasizing that her life is too stressful to need alcohol for relaxation. She expressed her desire to remain in control of herself and her decisions in the chaotic entertainment industry, and she does not want drinking to become a vice. She concluded, "Why try something if you don’t need it?!”

Despite her husband, Ryan Reynolds, owning a liquor label called Aviation Gin, the Gossip Girl alum star revealed that she is not a fan of alcohol. "I don't drink. I've never tried a drug," she told Allure in September 2012.

The actress from Hustlers chooses to abstain from alcohol in order to prioritize her beauty. "I think it ruins your skin," she shared with InStyle back in 2003. However, she is not completely opposed to it when the occasion calls for it. "Of course, during celebratory toasts, everybody's like, 'You can't toast with water!' So I'll toast with alcohol and just take a sip," she added.
