Why He Loves the Bag-Within-a-Bag

He loves the bag-within-a-bag because sometimes a big bag like this needs other bags to keep things organized.

"I prefer physical books that I can smell, touch, and read," Kressley said. "I'm not a fan of e-readers."

Kressley also mentioned the book he is currently carrying while traveling and his special connection to it. "I always make sure to have a book with me," he shared. "This particular one was written by a friend of mine and is about a famous horse."

Kressley is an avid horse enthusiast and lifelong equestrian, so it’s no surprise his love of horses bleeds into his travel tips and must-have items.

Riding Gloves

“I have riding gloves because I never know when I’m going to find a horse I might need to ride,” Kressley quipped.

‘Old-School’ Large Planner

Battery-Operated Candles

I have a traditional planner that I rely on to keep track of everything," he shared with Us. Just like Joan Rivers in her documentary, I prefer to have everything neatly organized and written down. A full calendar is a must for me, as I start to feel anxious if I have any open days.

Kressley loves candles, but he has to find ways to create a cozy atmosphere while traveling.

He mentioned, "Many hotels don't allow candles for safety reasons, so I bought some small battery-operated ones instead. They instantly set the mood, are safe to use, and you don't have to worry about carrying a candle with you."

Baseball Caps

Kressley also mentioned that TSA has a preference when it comes to candles. If you have a candle in your bag, you can expect to be stopped. However, if you opt for a battery-operated tealight instead, you should have no issues getting through security smoothly. You're welcome.

“I always have two baseball caps,” Kressley told Us. “I have a black one and a white one and I know they’re going to go with everything.”

Goyard Embroidered Passport Case

“That was my passport, which I keep handy, right here in this little passport case with my initials in case I forget who I am,” he said.

Notecards

Kressley always carries notecards with him to show appreciation for friends' hospitality when he travels.

He shared with Us that after staying at someone's house, he leaves a thank you note in the mailbox before he departs. The next morning, his friends are surprised by how quickly the note arrived.

We Magazine

Just like Us, Kressley doesn’t go anywhere without the latest edition of We, and he happily flashed his copy for the camera.
