Queen Camilla, who is 76 years old, paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II by wearing her brooch. She wore the brooch while visiting the Royal Lancers, a cavalry regiment in the British army, at their base in Catterick, England on Monday, April 22.
The brooch being discussed has a skull and crossbones design, representing the Royal Lancers.
Camilla wore the striking brooch with a navy blue dress by Fiona Clare. The dress had a vibrant red collar and chain metal accents on the shoulders. She completed her outfit with a red hat, black leather gloves, and a black clutch purse.
The brooch was often seen on the late Queen during her visits to the regiment. At the young age of 21, she became the Colonel-in-Chief to the 16th/5th Lancers, which later became the Royal Lancers, in 1947.

Camilla was announced as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Lancers in June 2023.
During her visit on Monday, the royal received a military salute. She then spoke about her father, who became a member of the regiment in 1937.
“My father always spoke highly of the Regiment, describing it as a place of great skill and filled with unique individuals,” Camilla shared. “I am confident that your future missions will be just as successful, contributing to the rich legacy of our Regiment.”
As King Charles and Princess Kate receive treatment for cancer, Camilla and Prince William are stepping up to fulfill their royal responsibilities in their absence.
Charles, 75, shared his cancer diagnosis in February and aims to return to his public duties by May.
According to a source speaking to Vanity Fair on April 22, HRH is currently doing well and responding positively to treatment. He is eager to resume his public duties before June if possible. Despite his good progress, he is feeling frustrated about having to take time off. While he is following his treatment plan, he is sometimes impatient.
