Cameron Diaz Shares How Husband Benji Madden Creates Catchy Tracks for Their 3-Year-Old Daughter

Cameron Diaz adores the music her husband, Benji Madden, creates for their 3-year-old daughter, Raddix.

During an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, October 25, the 51-year-old Charlie's Angels star gushed, "He has the most amazing songs. They constantly play in my mind because he sings them to her, and she knows the lyrics. It's incredibly heartwarming. It truly touches me deeply."

Madden, aged 44, is the primary guitarist for the rock band Good Charlotte. His brother, Joel Madden, serves as the lead vocalist for the group, and the two also collaborate as The Madden Brothers.

Diaz, being a big fan of her husband's songs for their daughter, desires him to create an album comprising his child-appropriate melodies. She enthusiastically remarked, "He has some outstanding tracks. Trust me, I'm like, 'Wow, that's so catchy!'"

The couple got married in January 2015 at Diaz's residence in Beverly Hills. Almost five years later, they joyfully introduced their daughter, Raddix Madden, at the start of the new decade. In January 2020, they announced, "Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are overjoyed, thankful, and blessed to share the news of our daughter's birth. Raddix Madden has already stolen our hearts and brought completeness to our family."

Good Charlotte made their first live appearance in five years on October 21 at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Diaz was amazed to witness her husband's stunning transformation into an unrestrained rock star.

"They were up there, you know, on stage," she recalled. "A crowd of 100,000 people, singing along to every word of their songs, jumping together in perfect synchronization. It was absolutely mind-blowing."

In 2014, the actress took an 8-year break from her career. Last year, she made a comeback to acting and is currently filming Back in Action with her Annie costar Jamie Foxx. The movie is now in post-production. The duo previously worked together in the 1999 sports drama Any Given Sunday. Diaz recently revealed to CBS Mornings in July 2022 the reason behind her career hiatus.

She shared that when you engage in something you are familiar with and have excelled at for a long time, it can be refreshing to take a step back and evaluate the overall picture. It allows you to identify areas where you can improve and become more engaged, ultimately leading to a greater sense of fulfillment.
