A global initiative called #Powerof7 is urging Star Trek fans to watch Star Trek: Picard season 3 in order to generate enough interest for its proposed sequel, Star Trek: Legacy. The third season of Picard ended in April, setting the stage for a continuation series led by Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, the new Captain of the USS Enterprise-G. Despite the critical and fan acclaim, along with its strong performance in the Nielsen streaming Top 10, Paramount+ has not yet given the green light for Star Trek: Legacy. Showrunner Terry Matalas, who also wishes to oversee Legacy, has reached out to fans for their support in making the new show a reality.
Join the initiative by watching Star Trek: Picard season 3 during the week of September 3rd, with #7of9Day, Thursday, September 7th, at 7pm EST / 4pm PST being a particularly special focus. Visit Letters-4-Legacy.org's @LettersLegacy Tweet below for more information.

Why Paramount+ Hasn't Greenlit Star Trek: Legacy
Several factors have contributed to the absence of Star Trek: Legacy on Paramount+ despite the success of Star Trek: Picard season 3. The main factor is the current uncertainty in the film, television, and streaming industry caused by the ongoing WGA writers and SAG-AFTRA strike. The strike has led actors, talent, and creatives to protest for better terms from studios and streaming services, causing a complete halt in the production of new entertainment, such as Star Trek. Furthermore, it seems that Paramount+ did not take into account the immense popularity of Picard season 3 and the strong demand for Star Trek: Legacy when making future plans for the franchise prior to the strikes.
The hope is that once the strikes are over, Paramount+ will recognize the value of allowing Terry Matalas and his team to continue their work on Star Trek: Legacy, which they started in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Although Paramount+ has chosen to cancel Star Trek: Prodigy, they still have plans for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and the streaming movie Star Trek: Section 31. The #Powerof7 campaign might be the deciding factor in convincing Paramount+ to include Star Trek: Legacy in the future of Star Trek streaming. Don't forget, Star Trek: Picard season 3 is currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
