K-pop idol Jin from BTS successfully completes basic military training in South Korea.

In August, Big Hit made an announcement on the fan platform confirming that Suga had commenced his military enlistment by applying to end his postponement of service.

All able-bodied men in South Korea are required to serve in the army for 18 months by the age of 28 as part of mandatory military service. However, in 2020, a bill was passed by the country's parliament allowing pop stars, specifically those who demonstrate excellence in popular culture and art, to postpone their service until they reach the age of 30.

Suga is the third of the seven-member group to join the military, with Jin and J-Hope already serving.
