Brooke Shields decided to bond with her daughters in a unique way.
She shared on Instagram that she and her daughters, Rowan Francis Henchy (20) and Grier Hammond Henchy (18), have matching tattoos.
In the first photo, Brooke and Rowan posed together at a special screening of Netflix’s Mother of the Bride in Los Angeles on May 8. They both wore red dresses and proudly showed off their matching ladybug tattoos on the red carpet. Rowan’s tattoo is on her ankle, while Brooke’s is on the inside of her wrist.
The second and third photos captured Brooke and her daughter Grier displaying their matching tattoos. The tattoos show a woman in heels facing her daughter, who is also in heels that are too big for her. Brooke’s tattoo is on the inside of her right arm, while Grier’s is on her left wrist.
Brooke captioned the post: “Matching tattoos with both of my girls. There’s nothing like being a mama. #mothersday”

Brooke shares both daughters with her husband Chris Henchy. The couple have been married since 2001.
Brooke Shields has a strong bond with her daughters, but her relationship with her own mother, Teri Shields, was complicated. Teri was Brooke's manager for more than two decades and during that time, Brooke faced exploitation as a child actress in the entertainment industry while Teri struggled with alcoholism.
In her 2014 memoir, "There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me," Brooke shared the details of their difficult relationship.
It always seemed like I couldn't do enough for my mother. No matter what I said or did, she continued to drink and couldn't find true happiness. I felt powerless and questioned why my efforts weren't sufficient to help her overcome her drinking problem.
