Britney Spears is sending a telling message ahead of the highly anticipated release of her memoir, The Woman in Me.

The photo, taken by photographer Marta Blue, was captioned with a simple "." Earlier that day, Spears also shared another photo by Blue, showing a hand catching water under a bathtub faucet.
Spears' highly anticipated book will be available in stores on Tuesday, October 24th, packed with one bombshell after another. Within its pages, the Grammy winner delves into intricate accounts of her numerous relationships throughout the years, providing insights into her romance with Justin Timberlake, her previous marriages, and the intricate dynamics with her family members.
Spears admitted in her book that she became pregnant during her relationship with Timberlake, which spanned from 1999 to 2002, and ultimately decided to have an abortion. She acknowledged that some people may criticize her for this choice, but she mentioned that she agreed to it because Timberlake expressed his unwillingness to become a father. Reflecting on the decision, she admitted uncertainty about whether it was the right one and stated that personally, she would not have gone through with the abortion if the choice had been solely up to her.
Afterwards, she went on to welcome her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. In a book passage, it is alleged that her father, Jamie Spears, who was in charge of Britney's controversial conservatorship for 13 years, "shook" her 13-year-old son, Sean Preston, during an argument in 2019.
According to Britney, her son locked himself in a bedroom to put an end to the fight, but her father broke down the door and shook him. Kevin filed a police report, resulting in her father being barred from seeing the children. It is important to note that no criminal charges were filed against Jamie, who is now 71, in relation to this incident.
In response to the increasing release of excerpts from The Woman in Me, Spears addressed her intentions for writing the memoir on Instagram. She clarified that her book's purpose was not to cause offense in any way, explaining that it represents her past self.
"It's a fresh start from now on!" she exclaimed. "I am committed to maintain this clean slate for the rest of my life! Regardless, that is all in the past and unfortunate occurrences are inevitable. Surprisingly, this is a book that I never realized was necessary to write. Although it may offend some, it has provided me with closure and paved the way for a brighter future."
