Lawson Bates, from Bringing Up Bates, and his wife Tiffany Bates are expecting their first baby.
The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram, announcing that Baby Bates is due in early Summer 2024. In their post on Tuesday, March 5, Lawson, 31, and Tiffany, 25, expressed their gratitude for their little miracle.
Lawson and Tiffany are now expecting their rainbow baby after experiencing a miscarriage in 2023.
In a heartfelt Tuesday YouTube video, Tiffany shared her feelings about the current pregnancy. She expressed a mix of happiness and fear, stating, “I was so scared. I’m so happy but at the same time, I’m scared because I don’t want to lose this one too. But, I know that God’s in control. … Oh my gosh, you guys. [This pregnancy test] says, ‘pregnant.’ It says, ‘pregnant!’ You guys, wow! I’m so excited but I’m very nervous.”

Tiffany surprised Lawson with the pregnancy news by placing a rustic-inspired “Baby” sign in their living room alongside three positive pregnancy tests.
Lawson was caught off guard by the sign, admitting, “I had no clue it said ‘baby.’ I was so stunned. I didn’t even notice it at first. I was looking at Tiff as she was talking and then I realized, ‘Wait a second, that says ‘baby.’”
He expressed, "I still feel like I'm in a dream. Just like the last time, it doesn't feel real. I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's actually happening. It's similar to the moment on the boat with the pastor, thinking, 'I'm getting married. Is this really happening?'"
Lawson, the fourth eldest child of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, began dating Tiffany in February 2021. They got engaged in October 2021, less than a year after they started dating, and tied the knot in May 2022.

After almost a year of being married, Tiffany discovered she was pregnant. Unfortunately, she experienced a pregnancy loss with her daughter Hope in September 2023.
Tiffany shared on Instagram in December, "Our precious angel baby has returned to heaven. Our hearts are shattered. While we mourn, we also thank the Lord for our miracle baby. God remains faithful."
