Tottenham have signed Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest in a £47.5m deal on Deadline Day.
The Wales international has penned a six-year contract and will wear the number 22 shirt.
Forest made a club-record sale as the 22-year-old moved to Spurs, with a deal containing a 10% sell-on clause. Johnson was the primary target for Tottenham to fill the forward position left vacant by Harry Kane's £100m transfer to Bayern Munich this summer.
Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou sees Johnson's profile as a perfect fit for their style of play. Brentford had expressed interest in Johnson, but Chelsea's interest has waned in recent days.
Spurs also contemplated Ansu Fati, who recently joined Brighton, and Johan Bakayoko, who opted to remain at PSV Eindhoven instead of moving to Brentford, before ultimately selecting Johnson.

Forest were reluctant to sell Johnson and insisted on receiving an offer close to their £50m asking price. Spurs eventually reached a fee agreement on Friday afternoon, allowing them to finalize the deal before the 11pm deadline.
The graduate from the Forest academy has joined Tottenham, making him their ninth signing of the summer and bringing their overall expenditure to £229m. Johnson showcased exceptional performance for Forest in the previous season, contributing eight goals and three assists to secure the club's position in the Premier League.

We football journalist Joe Shread:
"Johnson is far from a like-for-like replacement for Harry Kane - but that is fine by Tottenham.
Spurs were determined to improve their attacking options after allowing their top scorer to join Bayern this summer. However, they were not looking to recruit a striker with a similar playing style to their record-breaking No 9.
Spurs, however, decided to go for a dynamic forward who can fulfill various positions in Ange Postecoglou's front three - and Johnson perfectly fits the criteria.
Last season, the Welsh international showcased his versatility by playing on the wing, supporting the striker, and even as the central forward, as Forest manager Steve Cooper frequently made adjustments to his tactical approach.
Johnson consistently excelled in every role he undertook, consistently outperforming his teammates in various attacking metrics, as depicted in the following graphic.
Johnson will have the opportunity to rival Dejan Kulusevski on the right wing, Heung-Min Son on the left wing, and Richarlison in the center. Being only 22 years old and with just one season in the top-flight, this 19-cap international has ample potential to grow and excel in Postecoglou's encouraging new era.
