Breckin Meyer will always remember the incredible talent of Brittany Murphy, his late costar.

Meyer, who is now 49 years old, shared his thoughts on Murphy's unexpected passing in 2009 at the age of 32 during an episode of Steve Kmetko's "Still Here Hollywood" podcast in April. He fondly recalled Murphy's immense talent and expressed his curiosity about what she could have achieved.

Meyer fondly remembers Britt, who passed away as an adult. He often wonders about what she would have achieved by now. He recalled her immense talent both on and off the screen, describing her as "crazy talented."

At the time of her death, Meyer felt that only the surface of Britt's career had been explored. He admired her singing abilities and thought about the potential for her to cross over into music and movies. Meyer expressed his regret at not being able to witness Britt's potential in these areas.

In 1995's Clueless, Meyer and Murphy portrayed love interests Travis Birkenstock and Tai Frasier. Following this film, they collaborated for eight years on the animated series King of the Hill.

Meyer fondly remembers Murphy as "the sun," noting her effervescent and wonderful personality. He expressed sadness over her passing, describing it as a tragic outcome of a toxic relationship.

Murphy fell ill and passed away in her Los Angeles home after battling an illness for several days. The coroner revealed that her cause of death was pneumonia, along with anemia and a mix of prescription and over-the-counter drugs in her system, including cold medication and painkillers.

During that time, Murphy was married to Simon Monjack. They got married in April 2007, but their relationship had its share of challenges before her death in 2009.

Assistant LA Coroner Ed Winter stated that after Murphy’s death, it was revealed that she had been ill for at least two weeks. He mentioned that if she had received medical attention earlier, her condition would have been treatable.

After the unexpected passing of the actress from Uptown Girls, suspicions arose regarding her husband's involvement. However, he vehemently denied any accusations, calling the rumors about his involvement in her death “utterly ridiculous.” Monjack expressed his disbelief in a peculiar interview with Today in January 2010.

In May 2010, five months later, Monjack was discovered dead at age 40 in the home he shared with Murphy. The cause of his death was eerily similar to his wife's. The Los Angeles coroner determined that Monjack passed away from acute pneumonia and severe anemia.
