UEFA supports the inclusion of all five countries in the qualification process, allocating two automatic spots for teams that fail to qualify on the field.

The FA is eager for England to maintain their competitiveness by participating in qualifiers, rather than relying on two years of friendly matches.

Police form a cordon around Wembley Stadium after it was breached by ticketless supporters before the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy in July, 2021

We News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol:

The UEFA executive committee has received reassurances from The FA that the shameful incidents observed at Wembley during the Euro 2020 final will not be repeated.

Those present on that day will vividly recall the appalling ordeal. The lack of adequate security measures allowed numerous individuals to enter the stadium without tickets. A thorough investigation concluded that it was truly miraculous that no fatalities occurred.

The FA assures that they have learned from their past mistakes and are committed to ensuring such incidents do not occur again. UEFA displays trust in The FA by granting them the opportunity to host the Champions League final at Wembley this season.

The responsibility does not solely lie with The FA, as the events that unfolded during the previous two Champions League finals in Paris and Istanbul have raised questions for everyone involved.

"I attended both events, and many supporters, particularly from Liverpool and Manchester City, expressed their complete loss of faith in UEFA. They stated their reluctance to attend any future major games organized by the institution.

"This situation demands answers not only from the FA but also from UEFA and its executive committee. It raises serious concerns about their competence in hosting significant tournaments and finals."
