Jo Potter, a former England international, has been announced as the new head coach of Rangers Women. Previously serving as assistant head coach at Birmingham City, the 38-year-old takes over from Malky Thomson, who has now resumed his position at the club's men's academy.
Potter enjoyed a 21-year playing career at several clubs including Arsenal, Birmingham, Everton, Leicester City and Reading - plus made over 30 appearances for the Lionesses.

"I am thrilled to have the chance to be a part of this esteemed football club," expressed Potter enthusiastically.
"I am fully aligned with the club's aspirations and principles to consistently progress and advance, particularly during this influential era in women's football. I am eagerly anticipating the commencement of this journey."
Jo has been appointed as the new head coach of the club, which is a cause for great satisfaction.
With her successful career in England, she brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to the team. We have full confidence in her ability to lead us to further success and secure more silverware as we embark on a new journey to reclaim the league title. Additionally, we are determined to compete fiercely and triumph in both cup competitions next season. The anticipation of Jo's arrival fills me with excitement as we commence a new and exhilarating chapter for our women's program.

Incoming Rangers CEO, James Bisgrove, said: "I am delighted to welcome Jo as our new women's head coach.
Jo emerged as the top candidate after an extensive recruitment process. With her wealth of experience, she is a valuable addition to Rangers, especially during this thrilling period for the women's program, considering the immense interest and the large crowds the team played in front of towards the end of the previous season.
The club has made significant progress in recent years, and we anticipate Jo to elevate it to new heights domestically this season, and potentially in Europe in the future seasons to come.
