It includes the original USS Enterprise NCC-1701 from Star Trek: The Original Series, as well as the USS Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Other ships, such as those from Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the TNG movies, and Star Trek: Picard, are also included. The art showcases the progression from Captain Jonathan Archer's NX-01 to Captain Seven of Nine's USS Enterprise-G in the third season of Star Trek: Picard.
Starship Enterprise Size Comparison Explained
Nine of the Enterprises from Star Trek's Prime Timeline were lined up by @JaceRidley. It is important to mention that the USS Enterprise in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movies is not pictured here. Although it is Constitution Class, it is said to be larger than the Enterprises in Strange New Worlds and TOS.In @JaceRidley's artwork, there are nine Starship Enterprises depicted: NX-01 Enterprise, USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Constitution Class, USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Constitution Class Refit (also known as Enterprise-A), USS Enterprise-B Excelsior Class, USS Enterprise-C Ambassador Class, USS Enterprise-D Galaxy Class, USS Enterprise-E Sovereign Class, USS Enterprise-F Odyssey Class, and USS Enterprise-G Neo Constitution/Constitution III Class. While the Enterprise-D is often referred to as "The Fat One" due to its wide saucer section in Star Trek: Picard season 3, the largest ship by a significant margin is the Enterprise-F. It makes its first appearance in Picard season 3, episode 9, "Vox."
The Starship Enterprises grew consistently larger over time until reaching the USS Enterprise-G, which has caused some debate among fans. Interestingly, the Enterprise-G is actually the USS Titan-A, the prominent ship of Star Trek: Picard season 3. To acknowledge their heroic act of saving Earth during the finale of Picard season 3, the Titan was renamed Enterprise and placed under the command of Captain Seven of Nine. While some Star Trek enthusiasts may prefer a continued growth in size and power for the Enterprise lineage, the Titan possesses a narrative and history that unquestionably make it deserving of carrying the renowned name Enterprise.
