Bradley Cooper is prepared to star in the fourth edition of The Hangover films, the comedy series that propelled his career. Despite his recent focus on more serious roles, Cooper's comedic roots lie in his involvement with The Hangover franchise.
The Hangover made its debut in 2009, chronicling the adventures of a group of friends during a chaotic Vegas bachelor trip that resulted in being penniless, injured, and owning a tiger. Two sequels were released, featuring a similar storyline in various locations worldwide.
Although the most recent film was released in 2013, a fourth installment is not off the table. Cooper has expressed his willingness to reprise his role at any given moment.
Cooper is ready and willing to do Hangover IV
During an appearance on The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast to discuss his latest drama film Maestro, which he co-wrote and featured in, Cooper was questioned about the possibility of taking on more "fun" movie roles in the future.
Bradley expressed his willingness to do "Hangover IV" immediately, citing his love for Todd Phillips, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms. However, he acknowledged that Phillips likely has no plans to make a fourth movie.
The plot of the fourth Hangover film would require some adjustments, considering that in the previous installment Alan (Zach Galifianakis) decided to leave the Wolfpack, the all-male friend group, just before his wedding.
If a fourth Hangover film were made, one of the characters would have to get a divorce, or they could see Chinese gangster and occasional friend Leslie Chow (played by Ken Jeong) leave his life of crime and settle down. For more of Dexerto’s TV and movie coverage, click here.
Editor's P/S
As a fan of The Hangover films, I am thrilled to hear that Bradley Cooper is eager to star in a fourth installment. The original film, released in 2009, was a huge success, grossing over $467 million worldwide and receiving critical acclaim. The sequels, released in 2011 and 2013, were also successful, grossing over $586 million and $362 million worldwide, respectively.
I believe that a fourth Hangover film has the potential to be just as successful as the previous three films. The cast is still intact, and the chemistry between the actors is undeniable. The story could explore new territory, such as the Wolfpack's adventures in a different city or country. I am confident that a fourth Hangover film would be a hit with fans and critics alike.
