The focus of the Boruto series is primarily on the titular character and his adoptive brother Kawaki, with the initial main trio being the new Team 7. Although fans are familiar with Boruto and Sarada's relationships with their parents, Mitsuki's connection with his parent Orochimaru remains a mystery.
Mitsuki is a synthetic human created by Orochimaru, with his biological genomes partially derived from the Sannin, making Orochimaru his parent. However, Mitsuki is not the only clone, as Orochimaru has several others in his laboratory. This has led fans to wonder if Orochimaru truly cares about Mitsuki.
Boruto: Orochimaru and Mitsuki's relationship is very complex

Orochimaru's feelings towards Mitsuki may not align with those of a typical biological parent, as evidenced by his initial disinterest and the abundance of clones he had. However, despite this, he did care about Mitsuki's well-being, albeit in a way that was more related to his experimentation rather than any real parental love. This was evident in the fact that Mitsuki was considered to be the best out of all of Orochimaru's clones, with the ability to make independent decisions and master Sage Jutsu. It was clear that Orochimaru did have some level of concern for his son, although it was not in the traditional sense.

As Mitsuki's personality developed and he formed close bonds with his fellow Hidden Leaf Village Shinobi, Orochimaru became increasingly reluctant to lose him, recognizing the significant progress he had made as a synthetic clone. This was especially evident during Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc, when Orochimaru disclosed that he was unconcerned about Mitsuki's whereabouts, confident that his juinjutsu would safeguard all of his secrets.
Nevertheless, Orochimaru also displayed signs of being a responsible parent by making an appearance at the parent-teacher conference in the Hidden Leaf Village. It may seem unusual for someone as busy as Orochimaru to attend such an event, but he made the decision to be there for his son, Mitsuki.

He also tended to Mitsuki as his body began to deteriorate after using Sage Mode. Orochimaru prioritized Mitsuki's health over the stolen Hashirama cells, and later joined his son in the Land of Valleys to assist in the rescue of Boruto and Sarada.
Overall, it appears that Orochimaru does care for his son Mitsuki, although this sentiment may not stem from parental love but rather a fear of losing Mitsuki's development. Orochimaru may believe that being present for his son could contribute to his personal growth, leading him to help Mitsuki in any situation.

However, the true feelings of Orochimaru towards his son Mitsuki can only be accurately portrayed by manga creator Masashi Kishimoto, as he has not fully explored their family dynamics yet. Given Mitsuki's current desire to confront his former "Sun" Boruto in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Orochimaru may eventually come to his son's aid.
Editor's P/S
As a hard fan of the Boruto series, I find the exploration of Orochimaru's true concern for Mitsuki to be a fascinating aspect of the story. While Orochimaru's initial disinterest and creation of multiple clones may suggest a lack of genuine parental love, his actions throughout the series indicate a level of care and concern for Mitsuki's well-being.
Orochimaru's decision to attend the parent-teacher conference and his willingness to prioritize Mitsuki's health over the stolen Hashirama cells demonstrate a sense of responsibility and care that goes beyond mere experimentation. His fear of losing Mitsuki's development and his presence during critical moments suggest a genuine concern for his son's growth and safety.
