Blue Lock chapter 239 gets delayed due to manga artist's poor health
Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine issue 48 in Japan has announced that Blue Lock manga, created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, will be on an unexpected hiatus this week. This decision comes as a result of Yusuke Nomura, the manga artist, falling ill suddenly, postponing the release of chapter 239 until next week.
What to expect from Blue Lock chapter 239?
The manga series will restart its serialization in issue 49 of Weekly Shonen Magazine. Subsequently, the forthcoming manga chapter will be accessible for online reading on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Hiori Yo, who appeared in the manga (Image via Kodansha), is set to conclude the intense match between Bastard Munchen and Ubers in Blue Lock chapter 239. This lengthy battle featured a series of confrontations between Meta Vision users, as they showcased their newly acquired weapons. Nevertheless, Hiori and Isagi successfully synchronized their Meta Visions, resulting in a remarkable goal that secured victory for their team.
That said, Hiori Yo made the decision to quit playing football. However, this choice might be reconsidered after he successfully assisted Isagi in scoring the winning goal. Consequently, the forthcoming chapter may center around his contemplation and ultimate determination.

Alternatively, Chapter 239 could center around Michael Kaiser, the star player of Bastard Munchen with a strong desire to become the team's leading scorer. In response to Isagi's opposition, he challenged the striker to a competition to determine who could score the most goals against Ubers.
Unfortunately for Kaiser, Isagi managed to score two goals in their match against Ubers, while he only scored one. This result meant that Kaiser had lost the challenge. As a result, his reaction to the outcome could play a significant role in the plot of the story. Furthermore, it should be noted that Bastard Munchen's next match was against Paris X Gen, indicating that the upcoming chapter may also feature Rin Itoshi.
