Blue Lock chapter 244, titled PXG, began with Kurona, Yukimiya, and Hiori from Bastard Munchen discussing the calculation of auction values. They agreed that getting involved in goals was the key, citing Hiori Yo's 20 million valuation for a single assist. Fired up for their next match against PXG, the trio was determined to make an impact.

Meanwhile, Yoichi Isagi aimed to surpass Rin and become the top player of Blue Lock in the upcoming match. Just then, Yukimiya called him to the monitor room to watch the match between Barcha and Paris X Gen. Shortly after, Raichi and Gagamaru joined them.

The game kicked off shortly after, with Rin Itoshi taking on the role of the lone striker, supported by Nanase and Tokimitsu. Meanwhile, Ryusei Shido began the match on the sidelines. As soon as the game got underway, Rin combined well with Hiori and Tokimitsu, leading to the ball finding its way to the team's no. 6 midfielder Charles Chevalier.

Charles delivered the ball to Rin with a well-executed backspin, enabling Rin to score with a unique twist. This display of skill revealed to Isagi that Rin had added new shooting techniques to his arsenal.

Immediately following the goal, Master Striker Julian Loki called for substitutions. Rin, Nanase, and Tokimitsu were replaced by Ryusei, Karasu, and Zantetsu. The team's style of play shifted significantly as the new players exhibited a more instinctive approach. After a series of passes, Charles once again crossed the ball to the striker, this time, Ryusei. True to form, Ryusei found the back of the net, bringing the score to 2-0.

The unexpected playstyle of the Bastard Munchen team left them bewildered as they struggled to find a way to cope with it. The ability of the players to seamlessly transition between two distinct playstyles was truly puzzling for them. As a result, they concluded that Rin and Ryusei were the ones to watch closely. However, Isagi and Hiori recognized that the midfielder Charles Chevalier posed the biggest threat from Paris X Gen.

Isagi racked up two assists by delivering crosses to two strikers, each suited to their unique playstyles, despite the team's differing playstyle systems. This solidified Isagi's belief that Charles was the heart of PXG.

Editor's P/S

As a long-time fan of Blue Lock, I was thrilled to read chapter 244 and witness the triumphant return of Ryusei Shido and other Blue Lock teammates to Paris X Gen. The introduction of Charles Chevalier as the beating heart of PXG adds an exciting new dynamic to the story, and I can't wait to see how he develops as a character and player. The game-changing chapter kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to see what happens next in the Blue Lock manga.

I particularly enjoyed the way the chapter delved into the different playstyles and strategies employed by the teams. The contrast between Bastard Munchen's calculated approach and PXG's more instinctive style was fascinating, and it was great to see how Isagi and Hiori recognized Charles Chevalier as the key player to watch. The chapter also provided some insight into Kaiser's background and ambitions, which adds depth to his character and makes me even more invested in his journey. Overall, Blue Lock chapter 244 was a fantastic read that left me eagerly anticipating the next installment.
