Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga episode 1 recap

Fans in Southeast Asia can also enjoy episode 2 of Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga on Muse Asia, as well as a variety of other anime from the Winter 2024 lineup.

The first episode started with Rin Okumura making the choice to assist his classmate, Makoto Godaiin, who had started witnessing demons. Upon investigation, the main character discovered that Makoto had been encountering these entities since the summer vacation came to an end.

The following day, Rin received an invitation from Mephisto Pheles, the Chairman of True Cross Academy, where he was informed that his execution had been postponed. Just then, Rin and his friends heard a scream in the hallway and found that a minor demon had attacked Makoto. Rin subsequently used his demonic abilities to frighten the creature away.

Subsequently, he inquired with his companions if they had any ideas to resolve Makoto's demon sighting issue, but they were unable to provide a solution. Consequently, he made the decision to consult Mephisto about the matter. However, upon arriving at the Chairman's mansion, he uncovered a startling truth.

Mephisto's true identity was unveiled as Samael, the King of Time and a member of the Demon Royalty known as Baal. He transported Rin to Gehenna to demonstrate the difference in their powers. Mephisto/Samael promised to assist Rin with Makoto's issue, but only if Rin completed a task in return. The episode also featured a normal interaction between Rin and Yukio.

In another part of Yemen, Arthur and Lewin Light (nicknamed Lightning) looked into a case involving the reappearance of the Impure Princess. Arthur, the Paladin, used his blade to defeat the woman who had taken the Impure Princess' heart.

The episode concluded with Rin Okumura giving Makoto an eye drop he received from Mephisto as a reward. He promised the boy that using the eye drops would help him to no longer see demons. Rin's friends then invited him to a Monja-eating party as the episode came to an end.
