Billie Eilish is introducing a wave of nostalgia with her latest Barbie capsule collection. Collaborating with the renowned toy company, the 21-year-old singer has debuted a range of tracksuits in anticipation of the upcoming release of Greta Gerwig's live-action movie, set to hit theaters on Friday, July 21.
The drop was launched on Thursday, July 13th, showcasing velour sets in black and hot pink. The set consists of wide-leg drawstring pants and a zip-up hoodie, both featuring the inscription "Billie" in Barbie's signature Dollie Script font. Additionally, the collection includes tank tops, hats, necklaces, and stickers.
In addition to this collection, Eilish has also been involved in other Barbie-themed projects to promote the movie. On Thursday, she released a self-directed music video for her single "What Was I Made For," which is included in the Barbie soundtrack. In the video, Eilish, who has dyed her hair blonde for this visual, can be seen browsing through a display of Barbie clothes designed to resemble outfits that she has worn on real red carpets.

Eilish revealed the release of the video on Instagram and shared the story behind the creation of the track. "In January, Greta showed me and Finneas a few incomplete scenes from the film ... We had no clue what to anticipate ... We were incredibly moved," Eilish expressed on Instagram. "The following day, we couldn't stop talking about it and ended up writing almost the entire song that night. Honestly, this happened at a moment when I really needed it. I'm truly grateful for that."
She added, "This video brings tears to my eyes... It holds immense significance for me, and I sincerely hope it has a similar impact on you. There's really nothing else to say, as I believe it will express its message perfectly on its own."
In a post by BILLIE EILISH (@billieeilish), she shares a deeply heartfelt song where she beautifully expresses, "I believe I may have lost sight of what it means to be happy, a state of being I currently lack. However, it is within my reach, a possibility I long for, and indeed, a purpose that I have been created for."
Other tracks featured on Barbie: The Album consist of "Barbie World" performed by Nicki Minaj, "Silver Platter" by Khalid, "Man I Am" by Sam Smith, "Pink" by Lizzo, and "Hey Blondie" sung by Dominic Fike from the TV show Euphoria.
The American leg of the press tour for Barbie commenced in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 9, with stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Issa Rae. Prior to this, the cast had been promoting the film internationally.
