A new trailer for Doctor Who's 60th-anniversary season has been released by Disney and the BBC. The trailer showcases Neil Patrick Harris as the villainous Toymaker, a formidable adversary who was last seen on the show in 1966. In addition to the exciting duel between Harris' character and David Tennant's Doctor, the trailer also highlights the return of Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, the leader of UNIT, an organization dedicated to safeguarding Earth from extraordinary dangers. Furthermore, the trailer briefly recaps the Doctor's past encounters with Donna Temple-Noble, portrayed by Catherine Tate.

Ncuti Gatwa (known for his role in Netflix's Sex Education) makes a fleeting appearance as the next Doctor in the upcoming Doctor Who 60th-anniversary special. This will be Gatwa's second time portraying the iconic character, as Tennant's Doctor undergoes a regeneration from Jodi Whitaker's incarnation.

The highly anticipated special episodes of Doctor Who will premiere on Disney+ from November 25, featuring a thrilling three-episode debut. It remains to be seen whether the Doctor Who library will also become available on Disney+ in the future, considering its current availability on Max.
