Sabrina Ionescu, the basketball sensation, exchanged vows with Hroniss Grasu, an NFL star and fellow Oregon Ducks alum, in a glamorous Laguna Beach wedding attended by notable personalities.

Sabrina Ionescu, the talented guard for the New York Liberty in the WNBA, tied the knot with Hronnis Grasu, center for the Las Vegas Raiders, on Sunday, March 10th. The beautiful wedding took place in Laguna Beach and was attended by many well-known guests.

Sabally, Ionescu’s college teammate, shared her thoughts on the wedding of the two special people on Instagram. She described it as a weekend filled with smiles and happy tears.

Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, also took to Instagram to send her congratulations to Ionescu and Grasu. She referred to them as a beautiful couple and wished them all the best in their future together.

Before his passing in 2020, Bryant was a mentor to Ionescu, and the two developed a strong bond. Ionescu even gave a speech at his memorial service in Los Angeles before flying back to Oregon to break her own single-season NCAA triple-double record that same night.

As more guests share their memories from the wedding on social media, fans are getting a glimpse into the celebration. Stewart, who is 29 years old, shared several photos with her wife, Marta Xargay, and the couple looked very happy in the pictures.

Ionescu and Grasu, both of Romanian descent, have been a couple since 2021. They were student-athletes at the University of Oregon and announced their engagement in January 2023.

When Grasu popped the question, Ionescu was taken by surprise. She thought she was going to a GQ photo shoot, but instead, Grasu was waiting for her.

In a TikTok video, Ionescu shared, "I was completely shocked and caught off guard because he played it off so well. I couldn't stop taking pictures with my ring. This night was just so special."

WNBA training camp is just around the corner, so Ionescu won't have long to enjoy her newlywed happiness. The Liberty are eager to bounce back from their defeat in the WNBA Finals against the Las Vegas Aces last season. Meanwhile, Grasu will have a bit more time to relax during his offseason before the NFL picks up pace later this summer.
