Shortly after turning 16, rising Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal is already showcasing his immense value, amounting to an astounding one billion euros (approximately $1.05 billion).
Barça has established an astronomical buyout clause for Yamal, as the young striker has recently penned a new contract that secures his place at the club until June 2026.
Yamal achieved two remarkable milestones in his football career. Earlier this year, he made history as the youngest player ever to participate in a competitive match for the Blaugrana. Moreover, just last month, Yamal became both the youngest player and the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Spanish national team. This remarkable feat occurred when he came off the bench as a substitute during a resounding 7-1 victory against Georgia.

Spain's 16-year-old Lamine Yamal has made an extraordinary debut, making history as the youngest goalscorer and player for his country. In addition, he holds the record for being the youngest player from Barça to feature in the Champions League and is the second-youngest in the history of the competition, following Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko.
Yamal, who joined Barcelona's La Masia academy at the age of seven, expressed his joy and dreams of spending three more years at his beloved club. In a video shared on the club's social media platforms, he said, "It feels like a dream to continue my journey with Barça. I am extremely happy and hopeful for the best to come." Notably, Yamal made history as the youngest player of Barcelona, who has won the Champions League five times, in over a century when he showcased his skills against Real Betis in April. This season, he has featured in various La Liga games both as a starter and substitute.
Playing in his second Champions League game on Wednesday, he has the opportunity to showcase his skills as the Catalan giant goes up against Portuguese side FC Porto. If he manages to find the net and score his first goal for the club during this match, he will effortlessly surpass his Barça teammate Ansu Fati as the youngest goalscorer in the competition. It is worth noting that Fati is currently on loan in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion.
