Along the Sword Coast of Faerun, the expansive setting of Baldur's Gate 3, there is an abundance of captivating experiences and activities awaiting exploration. As the adventuring party embarks on their journey from Rivington to the illustrious city of Baldur's Gate, they will be enthralled by the enchanting allure of Wyrm's Crossing. In particular, the renowned establishment known as Sharess' Caress beckons, offering a sensory delight of sights and sounds.
In accordance with the mature themes pervading the game, Sharess' Caress serves as both a tavern and a brothel, an indispensable locale for the protagonist to engage in fulfilling the quests initiated earlier in the game. Its significance extends beyond mere indulgence, serving as a pivotal gateway for progression as they venture further into the vibrant cityscape.
Wyrm's Crossing
Wyrm's Crossing is a noteworthy location in Dungeons & Dragons where various campaigns unfold. Despite its relatively modest size, it holds great significance as it constitutes half of the bridge that connects to Baldur's Gate.
Within this compact area, there is an abundance of activities to indulge in. Notably, Sharess' Caress and the neighboring establishment, Fraygo's Flophouse, house a plethora of captivating and influential NPCs.
Located after Rivington, Wyrm's Crossing is an initial destination for the party. It features a Waypoint called The South Span of Wyrm's Crossing, situated next to the entrance of Sharess' Caress. To reach the Waypoint and locate Sharess' Caress, players must follow a series of steps.
On the opposite end of the bridge lies Wyrm's Fortress, where players can encounter Gortash and witness his coronation. However, access to this area is restricted unless one possesses an invitation to the coronation or obtains special permission from Inspector Valeria.
Access To Wyrm's Crossing
Due to the impending invasion and the influx of refugees, checkpoints have been set up along the route from Rivington to Baldur's Gate. A formidable presence of Steel Watch, Flaming Fist guards, and Paladins is ensuring that traffic is prevented from entering the city.
There are several approaches to overcoming them, but one effective strategy is to have a lone character retrieve the Waypoint while the rest of the group teleports in.
One option is to speak with the guards stationed at the entrance of Wyrm's Crossing. They may deceive Tav into thinking that they can be bribed for passage. However, in reality, they only accept the gold but have no intention of granting access to the party on the bridge.
Jumping is the simplest and most apparent method to bypass the guards. Upon reaching the bridge, there is a pathway to the right that leads down to the shoreline. By walking just a short distance, it becomes effortless to employ the Jump ability and gain access to the lower wooden balconies of the nearby homes on the bridge.
For those opting for a more aggressive approach, fighting is an alternative. However, this may be considerably more challenging as the Steel Watch has the capability to eliminate the entire group with a single strike. Prioritize thorough tactical preparations before attempting this method.
To escape from prison, choose to get arrested for offenses such as pickpocketing or house-breaking. Then, opt to go to jail where you can plan your escape and make your way back to the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing.
For those with the ability to transform into animals, utilize shapechanging to silently evade the guards without incurring any costs. At this point, either Jaheira or Halsin can join your party if you need a Druid companion.
Sharess' Caress
The inviting shade of a deep rose awning and an elegant golden sign warmly greet even the most reserved visitors to Sharess' Caress. Positioned conveniently as the first prominent structure on the right, it stands in close proximity to the Waypoint and across from Fraygo's Flophouse.
Spanning three stories, Sharess' Caress extends to both sides of the street; however, gaining entry requires the player to either skillfully pick locks or employ a special ability. Regardless of any reservations the protagonist may have about entering a establishment associated with debauchery, it is highly recommended to experience the captivating atmosphere and embark on the intriguing questlines.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available for PC and PlayStation 5. A version for Xbox Series X|S is currently in development.
