Michelle Money, a star from Bachelor Nation, and professional golfer Mike Weir have finally married after dating for seven years. The 43-year-old expressed her excitement as she looked into Mike's eyes before making their eternal commitment to each other. The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful oceanside wedding ceremony in Hawaii on Sunday, November 19.
Money and Weir celebrated their special day with their loved ones, participating in activities such as a family golf game, snorkeling, and hiking. The couple was supported by their three daughters, Elle, Lili, and Brielle, with Money having Brielle from her previous marriage to Ryan Money, and Weir having Elle and Lili from her former marriage to Bricia Weir.
Following her appearance on season 15 of The Bachelor, Michelle briefly dated Brad Womack before their separation. She later appeared on season 2 of Bachelor Pad and season 1 of Bachelor in Paradise, where she formed a connection with Cody Sattler. Unfortunately, Money and Sattler were unable to sustain their relationship and decided to end things in 2016.
“Cody and I are not together,” Michelle told We in 2016. “I am in a new relationship with a wonderful man and am extremely happy!”
Michelle Money referred to Mike as the "wonderful man." Mike created history in the golfing realm by becoming the first Canadian to claim victory in a major championship during the 2003 Masters Tournament.
Reflecting on the serendipitous encounter that united Michelle and her now-husband, she recollected, "As I entered a restaurant with my daughter, coincidentally, he was leaving with a group of companions." Speaking to People, she added, "Though I didn't notice him, apparently he spotted me and inquired with his friends if any of them knew me."
She continued her story, revealing, "To our astonishment, they actually knew a mutual acquaintance who generously shared Mike's contact details with me. We went on our inaugural date and were inseparable ever since! It was only months later that I discovered he couldn't get me out of his mind after that first encounter. Filled with a deep longing, he even left his friend's place and returned to the restaurant in an attempt to find me, but I had already departed!"
Mike and Michelle had not initially intended to marry, but Mike took Michelle by surprise when he proposed earlier this year. Michelle excitedly shared the news on Instagram in January, expressing her joy and anticipation about becoming Mrs. Michelle Weir. She also expressed her love and gratitude to Mike for making her dreams come true, and shared her excitement about their future together.
Mike announced the milestone moment as well, writing, “I’m a lucky man! ️.”
