Bachelor Nation’s Lace Morris recently shared her experience of coparenting with Ryan John Nelson****. During a podcast episode on “The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous”, Morris, 34, revealed that their time together during her pregnancy was not enjoyable. She mentioned that they had a tough time and are still figuring out how to navigate coparenting.
Morris shared that she and Nelson currently live together in Denver, but they are planning to live separately and "try to work together as a team, even if it feels a bit awkward."
"We had everything set up perfectly before our son was born - a beautiful house, a cozy nook, a nursery, but things aren't going as smoothly as we hoped," Morris explained. "I'm now in the process of looking for a new place to live on top of everything else I have to deal with."
Admitting that some days are tougher than others, Morris shared that each day is unique since their son arrived. She expressed, "It's incredible to see him, and I'm like, 'Wow, this is so cool.'" However, she also mentioned feeling like she doesn't have her family and the perfect picture she once envisioned.
Morris mentioned that Nelson is eager to be involved in their son's life and was there for the birth earlier this month.
"He's already showing that he's a caring dad," Morris commented about Nelson. "He's making an effort to be there as much as possible, which is great. As long as our son has his dad around, everything is fine."
Morris and Nelson were in the early stages of their relationship when they discovered they were going to have a baby.
"We got together in the first week and soon after found out I was pregnant," Morris shared.
Morris admitted feeling scared at first, but Nelson was really cool about the situation. They took a couple of days to think about the best option. Both of them agreed that they had to keep the baby.
Earlier this month, Morris shared the news that she had become a mom to her first baby, son Liam Lee. She expressed her surprise and joy on her Instagram Story, saying, "Holy s–t, I’m a mom." She described the experience as one of the most special and craziest moments of her life.
Morris first announced her pregnancy in August 2023 with an Instagram post saying, "Baby has entered the chat 🫶. What a beautiful surprise! Baby Nelson is due in March."
In September 2023, Morris excitedly shared that she was expecting a baby boy. She posted on Instagram, "BOY MOM CLUB 🫶. Not your extravagant gender reveal post, but I could not be happier! My mom sent flowers to my work with the color of the gender, so sweet. I knew it was you, baby boy 🫶🫶."
Bachelor Nation first got to know Morris back in 2016 when she competed for Ben Higgins' heart on season 20 of The Bachelor. She then went on to appear on season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise, where she got engaged to Grant Kemp. Unfortunately, their relationship ended just two months after the show's finale. Morris made a comeback to Bachelor in Paradise during season 8 in 2022, but this time she left the show without finding love.
