These include the full title, staff, studio, visual, premiere window, and the specific arc from the original manga series that will be adapted in the new anime.

The purpose of this new Kinnikuman anime series is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original television anime series, which initially aired in Japan in April 1983. Over the years, multiple TV and film adaptations of the original manga series, first introduced in 1979, have been created.

Production I.G has officially announced that they will be producing the highly anticipated Kinnikuman anime series. Titled "Kinnikuman Kanpeki Chojin Shisho-hen" or "Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc," this exciting show is an adaptation of the popular 2011 revival manga's arc of the same name. Yudetamago, the manga duo comprised of Takashi Shimada and Yoshinori Nakai, introduced their series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979. Initially running until 1987, the series later made a comeback in 2011 as a web manga on Shueisha's Shu Play News website. The upcoming anime series will focus on material from this revival arc.

The original manga was also adapted into a Kinnikuman anime, which aired in Japan from April 1983 to October 1986, spanning 137 episodes. The anime was produced by Toei Animation.

A second television anime series debuted in Japan in October 1991 and ran for 46 episodes until September 1992. Numerous additional series were created in the years that followed, with the most recent one before the upcoming release airing in Japan in 2006.
