Attack on Titan, a highly popular anime series, depicts a post-apocalyptic world where humanity's last survivors battle against colossal man-eating creatures aiming to eradicate them. Based on Hajime Isayama's manga, the anime has reached its 10th anniversary this year since its initial release in 2013. Currently, it is embarking on its final arc, which will bring the four-season journey to a close.

Scheduled for early November, The Final Season will encompass the manga's concluding chapters. These chapters portray the remaining Scout Regiment members' relentless struggle to halt the impending apocalyptic event known as the Rumbling, which would lead to the complete annihilation of most surviving Eldian individuals. The original ending of the manga sparked controversy upon its release, with numerous fans demanding additional chapters or alterations to the final chapter by Isayama himself. While an extended version of the final volume and an accompanying art book are set to be released, the manga's ending will remain unchanged.

Despite its immense popularity, Attack on Titan has faced numerous production problems and delays throughout its four-season run. The original animation studio, Wit Studio, exited the project due to budget constraints, and MAPPA stepped in to oversee the series' fourth and final season. However, the production continued to encounter difficulties, as MAPPA animators began reporting being overworked and underpaid in order to meet strict deadlines. As a result, the season was split into multiple parts, with episodes being released gradually over two years.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Final Part will premiere on November 4th on Japan's NHK General channel. Fans can watch the premiere on the official anime website or catch up on the series on Hulu, where new episodes are released after airing in Japan.
