ASAP Rocky has embraced the paparazzi but only if they capture him from the "good angles." The 35-year-old rapper was chosen by Bottega Veneta as the face of the fashion house's pre-spring 2024 ad campaign, in which he models luxury label accessories while living his daily life in New York City, Los Angeles, and other locations. In an Instagram post on Monday, December 4, Rocky revealed that the images used were actually paparazzi shots taken in real-time over several weeks while he was running errands, dining with his girlfriend Rihanna, and more, but were licensed by Bottega Veneta.
Rocky was photographed in a loose-fitting gray suit and olive-green Bottega tote bag on October 6, and a couple of days prior, he was seen in a plaid blazer and bubblegum pink purse while celebrating his birthday. In a recent Instagram post, Rocky discussed the complicated relationship between photographers and celebrities throughout history.

He continued, "Some celebrities invite the paparazzi to follow them, while others may have confrontations with photographers... A very small number, like myself, don't mind, as long as they post the best angles, of course."
Rocky then shared that he and Bottega saw the campaign as a chance to change the paparazzi narrative. "So, with the help of good angled photos, myself and the creative minds at #BottegaVeneta thought it would be a great idea to bridge the gap and use candid photos of my everyday life taken by photographers while I go about my daily routine."

He expressed, "Rather than being a traditional campaign, this represents a creative collaboration between Bottega Veneta's creative director Matthieu Blazy, myself ASAP Rocky, and the skilled tabloid-style photographers who were involved. Cheers & THANK U."
Other campaign photos show Rocky sporting a checkered toe and a classic trench coat while shopping for flowers.
