Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, is confident that Thomas Partey will stay at the Emirates, even with the addition of English talent Declan Rice. Despite rumors suggesting a potential move to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, Arteta emphasized that Partey is integral to his plans.
Ahead of Saturday's pre-season match against Manchester United in New Jersey, Arteta emphasized the significance of Thomas Partey as a crucial player for both the team and himself. He expressed his desire for Partey to continue being a part of the team, as whenever they spoke, Partey displayed his commitment to staying with Arsenal. In Arteta's perspective, there are no concerns or doubts regarding Partey's future with the club.
He said the arrival of Rice does not mean any lessening of Partey's role.
"They can play together and that was in my plans," he said. "You want to improve the squad and have more quality.
We require players who can collaborate effectively, but we also require players in the same position who are determined to compete for their positions. This is something we have lacked in recent years, and our aim is to address this issue, which is why we acquired Declan.

"I believe that the events of last year were likely essential for our growth and for acquiring the necessary knowledge in order to improve, prosper, and accomplish our goals," he expressed. "It is an integral part of our path and expedition.
"The standard is bound to elevate. Teams are becoming more formidable and the league is growing in strength; consequently, the challenges will inevitably become more arduous."
Zinchenko: Arsenal's time is coming
Oleksandr Zinchenko, who had a remarkable debut season following his move from Manchester City, firmly believes they have the capability to take that leap forward. He expressed, "I have repeatedly expressed my belief, and I would even go as far as to say there is an intangible sensation, that Arsenal's moment is approaching.
"Regrettably, we were unable to accomplish our goals in the previous season. Nonetheless, we garnered numerous valuable insights throughout that time, which undoubtedly will aid us in the upcoming one. I am brimming with confidence, so let's await the unfolding events."
