This mission, known as an Open Combat Area mission, requires players to locate and eliminate three Konni helicopters within the designated mission area. These helicopters are indicated by the presence of orange smoke grenades. By successfully destroying each helicopter using distinct armaments, players can unlock the Helo Hat Trick Achievement or Trophy in the game.
Finding the Armaments
In the Reactor mission, there are four potent armaments scattered across the map that can effectively eliminate the helicopters: the VTOL Jet, Mortar Strike, Stealth Bomber, and Precision Airstrike. While each armament possesses sufficient power to destroy the helicopters, it should be noted that due to the distributed damage area, there exists a possibility that one hit may not be enough. Nonetheless, players with accurate aim should find the four armaments more than sufficient to achieve the objective.
Begin by skydiving onto the concrete building located in the center-right of the compound, starting from the designated drop point indicated by the wooden top. Upon landing, locate a Mortar Strike on the top floor in the Northwest corner. Collect the Mortar Strike and head towards the C-6 tower, situated South of your current position. Adjacent to the tower, you will find a fire station with a supply crate inside its garage. However, you should prioritize reaching the roof and searching for a VTOL Jet on the second level. Exchange the Mortar Strike with the VTOL and utilize it to eliminate the initial Konni helicopter by calling in the VTOL's attack. This will clear the area and provide a diversion, enabling you to swiftly proceed along the southern border of the map towards the next helicopter located at G-7.
Approach the second helicopter and start moving North towards the reactor building in G-5. In F-5, you will come across a supply drop hanging from the roof of a nearby building, containing a spilled Precision Airstrike on the ground. Utilize the Mortar Strike on the helicopter positioned in G-7, being cautious to avoid getting hit by the sentry gun mounted on the back of the LTV in G-6. Acquire the Precision Airstrike and continue heading North towards the final helicopter.
Players can quickly reach the rooftop of the building located just South of the final helicopter by utilizing the ascension line on the Western side of the building. On the roof, there will be a single enemy guard. Eliminate the guard and proceed to target the final helicopter with an airstrike to successfully complete the achievement or trophy.
In the event that any helicopters manage to survive the initial armament strike, there is a Stealth Bomber available on this rooftop. To locate it, turn around and locate the supply crate near the pathway leading to the reactor while observing the Konni helicopter. Once obtained, bring the Bomber to the top of the reactor building for a better vantage point to assess the positions of the helicopters within the compound.
If all three helicopters are destroyed, players will receive the Helo Hat Trick Trophy on PlayStation or Achievement on Steam and Xbox. They can then proceed with the Reactor mission.
