According to an exclusive source in the latest issue of We, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have advanced their romance by moving in together in New York City. The insider reveals that Ethan has informed his friends and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Lilly Jay, about their decision.
Grande, aged 30, and Slater, aged 31, crossed paths during the filming of Wicked in London, which commenced in December 2022. Their professional collaboration developed into a romantic relationship earlier this year. (Grande will portray Glinda in the two-part film, whereas Slater will assume the role of Boq the munchkin.)
"Their happiness and compatibility are evident," adds the source. "He is well-liked by all of her friends."
Prior to her relationship with Slater, Grande was previously married to Dalton Gomez. The pop singer tied the knot with Gomez, who is 28 years old, in May 2021. Sources confirmed on July 17th that Grande and Gomez decided to end their marriage due to ongoing issues that lasted for several months.
According to court documents obtained by Us, Grande officially filed for divorce on September 18th and listed the date of separation as February 20th. On the other hand, Slater also filed for divorce from his estranged wife, with whom he has a child born in 2022, in July after being together for over 10 years.
Grande and Gomez's breakup revealed more information, leading to Grande's new relationship with Slater making headlines.
"Ariana and Ethan are currently dating, but their relationship is still in its early stages," a source shared exclusively with Us in July. The source also mentioned that both Grande and Slater were already separated from their previous spouses when they started dating. "Although they have only recently started seeing each other, Ariana and Ethan have a great time together and are thoroughly enjoying each other's company."
Grande and Slater have remained silent about their relationship in public. However, their status was seemingly validated last month when they visited Disney World together as a couple.
"They chose to visit the theme park with a close-knit group of friends, including her mother and brother, and they are extremely content," a trusted source exclusively declared to Us in September.
