Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Archie, has a high-priced present in mind for Christmas this year — but he might not get his wish when Santa Claus visits Montecito.

Meghan, 42, shared that her 4-year-old son, Archie, has become interested in photography after spending time with family friend Misan Harriman, who has taken pictures of the Sussex family in the past. "The inspiration goes deep," Meghan expressed while hosting a Q&A for a screening of Harriman's short film The After, which features David Oyelowo. "Misan was teaching him about photography the last time he visited us, and I bought Archie a camera. He then said, 'But it's not a Leica like Misan's.'"

Meghan emphasized that Archie will not be receiving a Leica camera any time soon due to their high cost. "I made it clear that you are not getting a Leica! Not even for Christmas," Meghan shared before joking with Harriman, "So, thanks for the inspiration in all aspects."

Meghan and Harry, aged 39, are parents to Archie and their two-year-old daughter Lilibet. Meghan recently discussed the family’s holiday plans, saying, “We’re establishing new [traditions] as our little ones are growing up," she shared with E! News. "And we’re savoring every moment of it. … I love decorating the tree with my kids.”

The couple used to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the British royal family at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate. However, since stepping down as senior working royals in 2020, they have chosen to spend the past few holidays in the United States. In 2019, they decided to spend the holiday with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.

"We all enjoyed having her with us. I believe we had a wonderful time together," Harry shared with BBC Radio 4's Today show in December 2017, reflecting on Meghan's first holiday with his family. "She has done an incredible job integrating into the family, one that I suppose she never had before."

The couple hasn't visited the U.K. for the holidays recently, but Harry mentioned in 2021 that Elizabeth still sends gifts for her great-grandchildren. "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker," Harry shared in an interview on The Late Late Show With James Corden. "She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So, now Meg makes a delicious organic mix in the waffle maker for breakfast." Harry added that Archie has become very fond of the gift, waking up in the morning and asking for waffles.
