Apple's Final Hardware Showcase for 2023

Prepare for an electrifying affair as Apple unveils its grand finale for 2023! A thrilling hardware event awaits, paving the way for futuristic innovations Mark your calendars for this late-night extravaganza, just before Halloween

Apple recently held a hardware event where they introduced the latest iPhones - the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. However, they have now announced another event scheduled for October 30th at 5 PM PT. This event, titled "Scary fast," will be pre-recorded and available to watch online. It is interesting to note that this event is taking place just one day before Halloween, hence the tagline. Additionally, the 5 PM PT event time is unusually late compared to Apple's usual morning/afternoon announcements for hardware.

It is uncertain what Apple will unveil during the event, but there are strong indications pointing towards the possibility of new Mac computers. Upon examining Apple's events page, one can observe the transformation of the Apple logo into the iconic smiley face Macintosh logo, reminiscent of the 90s and early 2000s. If the announcement were unrelated to Macs, this would indeed be bewildering.

Possible new announcements from Apple could include updated iMacs, as they have not been refreshed since the initial release of the M1-based iMacs. While it is unlikely that Apple would hold a dedicated event for just one new computer, it is worth mentioning that the rest of Apple's lineup of laptops and computers already utilize some variation of the M2 processor. Therefore, another possibility could be the introduction of the new M3 chip, along with new Macs equipped with it.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who is usually reliable with Apple rumors, it is not expected that new MacBook Air laptops will be announced. However, an M3 chip announcement could potentially pave the way for other announcements such as a new 13-inch MacBook Pro or a new Mac Mini. It is even possible that the iMac would make the jump directly from the M1 to the M3. At this point, it is uncertain and remains to be seen.

Of course, this is just speculation — we'll have to wait until Monday to see what Apple has in store. The livestream should be available on Apple.com when the time comes.
