Introducing Apple Vision Pro
Apple's Vision Pro is almost here, and the company has revealed how it wants the headset to become the 'ultimate entertainment device' with over 150 3D movies available at launch. The Apple Vision Pro is getting tonnes of hype, and the Cupertino company’s latest announcement touts the that the company will bring a new way to experience entertainment with the pricey headset. In a press release, Apple claims that Vision Pro users will not only be able to view traditional content from Apple TV+ and Apple Originals but also new spatial experiences. Users can turn any place into the best seat in the house, enjoy personal concerts and adventures with Apple Immersive Video, interact with lifelike prehistoric creatures in Encounter Dinosaurs, and even land on the surface of the moon using Environments. It’s unlike anything users have ever seen before and we can’t wait for them to experience it for themselves,' states Greg Joswiak, Apple’s SVP of marketing. Disney’s Bob Iger was also keen on the idea, with the company lending its support to Apple in a partnership. Iger stated: 'Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary platform that will bring our fans closer to the characters and stories they love while immersing them more deeply in all that Disney has to offer.'

The Hardware Behind the Hype
While options like the Quest 3 have offered virtual cinemas and spatial experiences for years, Apple might be the only company with enough connections to actually make it work, given their close partnership with Disney, as well as Apple TV. But, bolstering this is the impressive hardware underneath the headset. It has support for Dolby Atmos and lossless audio, as well as offering high-resolution Micro-OLED displays. The 'R1' chip powering Vision Pro can also offer images every 12 milliseconds, meaning that whatever content is displayed, you’ll be able to view it smoothly. You might want to strap on a battery pack though, as the device only ships with around two and a half hours of battery life. You might want to also bring your own keyboard, as the company has seemingly hit rocky waters with its internal solution.
