Apple has unveiled the lineup of content coming to the Apple Arcade subscription service from now until the end of 2023. The offerings include over 50 updates to existing games and the introduction of eight new titles, such as Disney Dreamlight Valley, Football Manager 2024, and a fresh 3D Sonic game called Sonic Dream Team.
Launching on December 5, Sonic Dream Team is a 3D action platformer where Sonic and his companions once again confront Dr. Eggman. The storyline revolves around an ancient device called The Reverie, capable of altering dreams. Players can select among six heroes - Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Cream, and Rouge -each possessing unique abilities and traits.
The Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition, which will also launch on December 5, brings the beloved Mickey-Mouse-themed life simulation game to Apple Arcade. However, due to Apple Arcade's restrictions on in-app purchases, this edition will not include the in-game marketplace or Star Path features. Although the new edition won't support cross-save with other versions of the game, it will offer all the content released so far and the upcoming Rift In Time expansion.
Check out the list below for the other six games coming to Apple Arcade and their respective release dates:
Knotwords+ (Zach Gage, November 3)
Football Manager 2024 Touch (Sega and Sports Interactive, November 6)
Downwell+ (Devolver Digital, November 17)
Delicious - Miracle Of Life+ (GameHouse, November 24)
Puzzle & Dragons Story (GungHo, December 5)
Turmoil+ (Gamious, December 5)
Upcoming major game updates for the service include Hello Kitty Island Adventure on November 17th, introducing a Give and Gather Celebration and a new islander. NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition, launching on November 23rd, will bring City Edition jerseys and eight new Greatest Player athletes, starting with Allen Iverson. Additionally, other games such as The Oregon Trail, Sneaky Sasquatch, and Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go will receive updates in November and December.
Apple Arcade is currently available for $7 per month on all iOS devices. The subscription is also included in the Apple One subscription package, which recently increased its price to $38 per month.
Editor's P/S
As a hard fan of Apple Arcade, I am thrilled about the exciting additions coming to the service. The new 3D Sonic game, Sonic Dream Team, is a dream come true for fans of the iconic blue hedgehog. The game's vibrant visuals, fast-paced gameplay, and multiple playable characters promise an exhilarating experience. I can't wait to explore the mysterious world of dreams and uncover the secrets of The Reverie.
Another highlight for me is Disney Dreamlight Valley. This charming life simulation game has captured the hearts of players worldwide, and I'm delighted to see it making its way to Apple Arcade. While the absence of in-app purchases and cross-save support may be disappointing for some, I'm confident that the game's enchanting storyline, lovable characters, and engaging activities will keep me entertained for hours on end.
